Bill Brown retired from banking after 35 years and was
called from retirement to formulate a church lending program in south Florida
for a large regional banking institution. He is now associated with Compass
Commercial Mortgage, Inc. as a church lending specialist.
Bill has been involved in church lending for ten years and
was selected by a Chicago area banking group to act as a consultant in the
forming of their church lending division.
Over the past year Bill has been responsible for obtaining
$10,000,000 in church loans and has been retained by churches to organize and
manage their capital fund raising activities which has accounted for over
$3,300,000 in pledges.
Bill has held many important church assignments including
finance chairman, board chairman. Lay leader, and Elder. His secular activities
have
included chairman of the board of American Heart Association Florida Affiliate,
president of American Heart Association Southern Region, American Heart
Association national vice president and national board membership. He has worked
in fund raising as a consultant for The Kidney Association of Palm Beach County,
Rotary and several other non-profit organizations.
His education includes a degree in Finance and Business
Management from Florida State University and has done post graduate work at
Northwestern University, Louisiana State University, University of Colorado,
University of Oklahoma and the University of Wisconsin.
Bill has been married for 48 years and has two daughters
and four grandchildren.
